PEREGRINE
RACING

We are a STEM team from Fort Street High School in charge of designing, manufacturing and racing miniature F1 cars.

About Us

Built for speed. Driven by students.

Peregrine Racing is a team of high school students competing in the F1 in Schools STEM competition in New South Wales, Australia. We design and build a miniature Formula 1 car that races down a 20-metre track in under 1.5 seconds and  then presenting our engineering, portfolio, and pit display to a panel of judges.

Engineering

CAD design, CFD analysis and precision manufacturing push our car to its limits.

Teamwork

Five students to work across design, manufacturing, graphics, marketing and management roles.

Competition

Competing in the F1 in Schools STEM challenge at the NSW state level in Australia in November.

The Crew

The Car

Aerodynamics explained.

Our car is designed in CAD and then tested with computational fluid dynamics. Everything is there for a reason: to cut drag, keep the car stable and get the car to be as quickest as possible.

  • Thin inspired body for minimum weight
  • Rear wing and front wing tuned for downforce
